In Hindu mythology, Manu is the name of the first human being, the first king who reigned on Earth and who was saved from the universal flood.
The national park of Manu is a natural territorial space protected by the Peruvian state Created on May 29, 1973.
In 1997, UNESCO recognizes the Manu National Park Peru as a Biosphere Reserve and in 1987 declared it a natural heritage site. It is located in the southeast of Peru, located in the departments of Madre de Dios and Cusco.
